[Flash 10 is required to watch video]

Here at The Spartan Review, we like books with things that happen in them, actual stories, books where people have problems with other people and then do something about it, something cool, if possible.  But we also like books, sometimes, that aren’t so busy, where the words matter as much as the deeds.  And then there are books that satisfy both of these needs at once—books like Cormac McCarthy’s No Country for Old Men or Denis Johnson’s Jesus’ Son.  Add Keith Lee Morris’s The Dart League King to that list.

Sometimes, we make trailers for the books we like.  The soundtrack for this one is by Air.
